Sensei Mark Corriveau

Sensei Mark Corriveau is the chief Brazilian jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling instructor at Complete Self Defense, LLC in Auburn, Massachusetts. He began his martial arts career in the early 1980s by studying judo under Professor Ed Maley at the Florida School of Judo in Tampa, Florida. However, after viewing the "Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Action" video in 1990 he realized he could drastically improve his street self defense skills by studying Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He thus became a member of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and went on to be come a certified Carlson Gracie Team instructor under Marcus "Conan" Silveira of Miami, Florida. To further improve his fighting skills, several years ago, Mark began studying muay thai kickboxing and pressure point self defense under Master Robert P. Moran.

In 1999, Sensei Corriveau was the New England Grappling Association Middle Weight runner-up and in 2000, the New England Grappling Association Middle Weight Champion. Today, he is both personally competing in "no holds barred" fights and training his students to do the same thing.
